iPhone XS

No gift can be better than the newly launched iPhone XS this Diwali. The latest smartphone by Apple is powered by the A12 Bionic processor, sports 5.8-inch OLED HDR Super Retina display and comes with a dual rear camera setup with 12MP wide-angle lens with and a 12MP telephoto lens. If you think that the iPhone XS is too expensive, then you can go for Apple’s affordable offering iPhone XR. It shares some of the specifications of iPhone XS including A12 Bionic processor, iOS 12 and the primary camera. iPhone XR sports a 6.1-inch LCD Liquid Retina screen and does not come with dual rear cameras. The smartphone’s base model is priced at Rs 76,900, whereas the high-end models with 126GB and 256GB storage cost Rs 81,900 and Rs 91,900 respectively. It is available in six colours including Black, Blue, Coral, PRODUCT (RED), White, and Yellow.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9

If you are not an Apple fan, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is an option that you can consider. The smartphone comes with 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display and is powered by Exynos 9810 processor. The smartphone is available in 6GB RAM/128GB and 8GB RAM/512GB storage options and houses a 4,000mAh battery. For imaging duties, it has a dual rear camera setup with 12MP sensors and for selfies, there is an 8MP front facing snapper. The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo and comes with the upgraded S Pen. The base model of Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is Rs 67,900 and the 8GB RAM/512GB variant is priced at Rs 84,900.

Vivo Nex

We had to include the Vivo Nex in our list because we found it to be extremely futuristic. It has been designed to give an all-screen experience to users and comes without a notch and has a pop-up selfie camera. The smartphone sports an in-display sensor, is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Soc and comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo and houses a 4,000mAh battery. The Vivo Nex is priced at Rs 44,990 in India.

OnePlus 6T

If you want to gift someone the latest smartphone, you should go for the OnePlus 6T. The price of the smartphone begins at Rs 37,999 and it comes with high-end specifications including Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB/8GB RAM options, 128GB/256GB storage variants, Android 9.0 Pie, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and the same cameras as OnePlus 6.

Asus Zenfone 5Z

If one smartphone company really tried to give competition to OnePlus 6, it was Asus with its Zenfone 5Z smartphone. The smartphone’s specifications included Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB/8GB RAM options clubbed with 64GB/128GB/256GB onboard storage variants, 12MP+8MP dual rear cameras and 3,300 mAh battery. If you want to go for a smartphone that is beautiful to look at and yet affordable, we recommend the Honor 8X. The smartphone comes with a 6.5-inch fullView display and has a glass back panel. It comes with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor. There is a dual AI camera setup on the back with 20MP and 2MP sensors and a 16MP AI selfie camera. Honor 8X’s base model comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and is priced at Rs 14,999. The most high-end model has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage that costs Rs 18,999.

Nokia 6.1 Plus

Go for Nokia 6.1 Plus if you want to gift a budget smartphone that will last. The smartphone falls under Google’s Android One program and will get Android updates for the next two years and security patches for three years. Nokia 6.1 Plus has a 5.8-inch full-HD+ display, is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor clubbed with 4GB RAM/64GB onboard storage. It houses a 3060mAh battery and is priced at Rs 15,999.

Oppo Realme 1

As far as the budget segment goes, there is no denying the fact that Oppo’s Realme 1 is one among the best smartphones launched this year. It comes in 3GB RAM/32GB storage, 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 6GB RAM/128GB storage variants that are priced at Rs 8,990, Rs 10,990 and Rs 13,990 respectively. On specifications front, there is a 6-inch full-HD+ display, MediaTek’s 12nm octa-core Helio P60 processor, ColorOS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, 13MP primary and an 8MP selfie camera.

Asus Zenfone Max M1

If you are looking to gift an entry-level smartphone, then Asus Zenfone Max M1 is a good option to consider. Priced at Rs 8,999 the smartphone is available at Rs 7,499 as a part of an introductory offer. Asus Zenfone Max M1 sports a 5.45-inch LCD screen, is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 processor and comes with 13MP primary snapper. It runs Android Oreo skinned with ZenUI 5 and houses a 4,000mAh battery.
